Week 7: Testing Motor Activating Code

Objectives:

• Test Servo and DC motors with Arduino software
• Reposition skull and body of skeleton
• Implement sound systems

This week we tested the motors with code, which includes the DC motor at the skull and the 2 servo motors attached to the arms. However, we focused on getting the speakers to work. After all, our project is called "Screaming Skeleton." It was not difficult implementing sound to our project. All we needed was a sound system and an controller to activate sounds, as seen in Figures 1 and 2.

We also repositioned the skull of our animatronic because it was not glued on properly the first time. Now the skull does not hit anything in it's path when it spins, as seen in Figure 3.
